Chocolate Chia Seed Mousse

This is a smooth, chocolate-filled dessert that requires only a few minutes of preparation. After letting the mousse chill overnight, top with your favorite toppings and enjoy this rich, creamy treat!

  • 1-1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (plus more for desired consistency)
  • 3 TBSP chia seeds
  • 2 TBSP cocoa powder
  • 2 TBSP pure maple syrup
  • 1 TBSP raw cacao nibs
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Optional toppings: raw cacao nibs, whipped coconut cream, dairy-free chocolate chips, raspberries

  1. Place the almond milk, chia seeds, cocoa powder, maple syrup, cacao nibs and cinnamon in a blender and process until completely smooth and creamy.
  2. Place the mousse in a covered glass container and refrigerate overnight (or for at least 6 hours).
  3. When you’re ready to serve, remove the mousse from the refrigerator. If the consistency is too thick, add a splash of almond milk and stir until combined. Spoon into bowls, garnish with your favorite toppings and enjoy.
